The Community Bond Assistance Program works to address inequities within the pretrial system by supporting individuals who remain incarcerated solely due to an inability to afford bond. The program provides intake assessments, support coordination, and connections to community-based resources that assist with stabilization during the pretrial phase.
In addition to bond-related support, the program offers family stabilization services and reentry planning for individuals upon release. The goal is to reduce unnecessary incarceration upon release. The goal is to reduce unnecessary incarceration, preserve family structures, and ensure individuals can maintain employment and community ties while awaiting court proceedings.
This initiative promotes fairness, reduces system strain, and strengthens community stability.
